Graduate Studies in CSE at UCSD
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) offers a variety of graduate education opportunities, including PhD and Master's degree programs, and the Concurrent Enrollment program through UCSD Extension. Our graduate students explore the fundamental aspects and application of computation, spanning theory, software, and hardware.
CSE has 50 faculty members and appoximately 400 graduate students (composed of PhD and MS students). Most full-time PhD students and some MS students receive financial assistance in the form of fellowships, research assistantships, or teaching assistantships.
Applications for admission to the PhD and MS degree programs are considered annually for Fall Quarter admission only. The deadline for fall 2013 admissions is December 15, 2012. Current CSE undergraduates who have a distinguished academic record can apply to the Five-year BS/MS degree program.
